3rd and 4th Grade Author Visit

Last Monday, we were thrilled to welcome author Debbi Michiko Florence to our school! She met with our 3rd and 4th graders and shared her journey as a writer, the inspiration behind her books, and the importance of believing in yourself and your ideas. Students loved learning about her characters and asking thoughtful questions about writing. We are so grateful to the Lucy Robbins Welles Library for sponsoring this event and Debbi for visiting and inspiring our young readers and future authors!

Kindergarten Fall Festival

Our Kindergarten Fall Festival was a wonderful celebration of learning and community! Families joined their children in the classroom for a variety of hands-on fall-themed activities, from crafts and games to literacy and math stations. It was a joy to see students and families learning, creating, and celebrating the season together. Pictured below are students, teachers and available family members from Ms. Steck's class.

Calling All Chaffee Veterans

We are excited to honor and celebrate all of the Veterans from our Ruth Chaffee family. The following flyer was sent home with your student earlier last week.

Please consider sending in the name and/or picture of any veterans from your family or friends that your student knows about. Also if you have a veteran family member or friend that would like to come and be honored in person, we would love to have them at our assembly on Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m. If you have any questions please reach out to Kristen Wild at kwild@npsct.org.

Thank you for your help and collaboration.

Ruth Chaffee Pet Wall

The Pet Wall is growing! Students and staff alike are enjoying all of the pet and stuffed animal photos! If you would like to submit your pet(s) use this link Ruth Chaffee Pet Wall Submission Form.

Student Handbook

Please be sure to review our Student Handbook. The handbook is your go to guide for expectations, annual notifications, legal requirements, policies and procedures. It is always available on our website. Please note that there have been significant changes to school climate policy. There are several legislative mandates that are being implemented this year. I strongly encourage every family to read this Notice Concerning School Climate and contact me with any questions.
