Miss CT Teen Volunteer Visit to E Green

Michelle Pizzoferatto shared that In connection with our Exploring Perspectives work for Unit 1, Morgan Miele came to our class to discuss her campaign, KidsKare and her mascot Sunny. Sunny represents 12 ways that people can volunteer and work together to improve communities and the world. Morgan was crowned Miss Connecticut Teen Volunteer 2024 and founded the KIDSKare program to inspire and educate children about community service. The program, which was created by Miele, focuses on empowering kids to volunteer and connects to our read aloud One Day House and exploring perspectives work! Students made sunny crowns with 6 areas they were going to focus on and in the middle wrote a promise to volunteer.
